Silver coin “Aerial Cableway Schilthorn”

The new silver coin “Aerial Cableway Schilthorn” is the last coin in the trilogy on the theme of “Swiss aerial cableways”.

In memory of the old Schilthorn aerial cableway
The Schilthornbahn 20XX project foresees a classic aerial tramway between Stechelberg and Mürren.  Once completed, the new cable car will be the steepest aerial cableway in the world. In addition, the connection up to the Schilthorn will be the world’s first funifor aerial cableway. The Funifor system boasts high wind stability and enables compact station construction. With the new Schilthorn aerial cableway special coin, we want to keep the memory of the old aerial cableway alive.

On the obverse, the old gondola lift and revolving restaurant are shown after the latest transformation in 2017. On the reverse, the Schilthorn is visible. No collector or lover of Swiss coins, James Bond films and the Swiss mountains will want to be without it. Additionally, the face value of CHF 20 is shown.
