Football fever over the special coin \u201cCristiano Ronaldo\u201d<\/h3>\n

On 2 January 2025, the Banco de Portugal felt compelled to publish the following statement: \u201cThe Banco de Portugal warns of false reports about the launch of a special coin in honour of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese mint has not minted a 7-euro special coin in honour of Cristiano Ronaldo, and neither is it planning one. Much to the disappointment of many new numismatists, who had been getting excited about the value increasing to over USD 150,000.<\/p>\n<\/div>[\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″]

In the spring of this year, the Mint of Finland closed its gates for the final time.<\/h3>\n

After 162 years of minting, the Mint of Finland closed in spring. It was known for its high-quality 2-euro coins, but had not managed to get into the markets for regular issue or bullion coins. Aside from Finnish coins, the Mint of Finland also minted the euro coins for Estonia, Greece, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Cyprus and Ireland. These countries, along with the Republic of Finland, now need to shop around for a new coin minting partner.<\/p>\n<\/div>[\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″]
