It honours the year-round connection between Zermatt and Cervinia (Italy), which will be completed by summer 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Start of the Swiss cable car trilogy<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\">The Matterhorn Alpine Crossing will turn a long-held vision into reality after more than 80 years. The modern cable car will connect the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise mountain station with the Testa Grigia valley station in Italy, thus creating the desired seamless link between the two locations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>A masterpiece of coin design<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\">The Klein Matterhorn cable car and the new station are depicted in remarkable detail on the obverse of the coin.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>[\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;]<div class=\"section__text section__text--center intro-animation intro-animation--bottom\"><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Majestic mountain peak adorns back<br \/>\nof special coin<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\">The Matterhorn and the nominal value of CHF 20 are depicted on the reverse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>20g silver 999.9 alloy special coin<br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><span class=\"s1\">The Klein Matterhorn cable car takes pride of place on the obverse.
